The Reproductive Choices Lab is a research team of scholars, students, and community partners who conduct participatory, justice-oriented projects. We aim to generate evidence that supports people to make informed reproductive choices, with focus on abortion and contraception care in restrictive environments.

Our work is decolonizing, relational, and above all joyful. We aim to disrupt traditional academic structures by partnering directly with community experts with lived experience. Ultimately, we seek to generate evidence that empowers women and gender diverse people to take charge of their reproductive health on their own terms.

Our lab is led by Dr. Sarah Munro across multiple sites in the Pacific Northwest. We are based at the University of Washington School of Public Health, Department of Health Systems and Population Health, and have infrastructure support from the University of British Columbia Centre for Advancing Health Outcomes and Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
