Zeba Khan (she/her)

I am a PhD student at the University of British Columbia (UBC), a Killam doctoral scholar, and founder of a grassroots non-profit organization, Free Periods Canada.

My research expertise and experiences span across multiple sectors; I am interested in research that helps us build digital knowledge mobilization tools to support healthcare access for marginalized groups.

I am also the Vice President of the provincially funded network of clinics Options for Sexual Health's board of directors and have served in the Period Poverty Task Force, appointed by the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction.

I grew up in Bangladesh and immigrated to Canada in 2015 as an international student. Shortly after relocating, I discovered that I am someone who loves to nurture things. Whether it is my plant collection or a community of humans - I like fostering growth and connections.
